Founder of FairCareMD and author of blog.faircaremd.com.
FairCareMD could be defined as a hack on healthcare - because at the end of the day, sometimes the only way to fix a broken system is to hack it up.
A little bit of both
All of the above. It is an open project that we seek writers, hacker, and designers for. We can't open our source to the world because it is private patient data, but we are bringing on developers who are inspired to make great stuff with us.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the welcome note and the interest in Ligo Project. I would love to speak to you more about it -- are attending the Healthcare 2.0 event on Thursday? If so, perhaps we could find a time then to meet and talk? I am also just forming a Ligo Project meetup page and events. Feel free to check us out there (http://www.meetup.com/Ligo-Project-Ne...![]()
) and follow us on Twitter (@ligoproject).![]()
Best,
Shane
Thanks for the warm welcome, Alex! Looking forward.
Thanks Alex. I look forward to the event.
Belated thanks for the welcome to the health 2.0 group - I am very excited to be here! I am an interaction designer at the agency R/GA, and I am passionate about healthcare user experience. I am especially interested in how data visualization can help people better understand and communicate what is going on with their health. Really looking forward to coming to some meet-ups (and perhaps even helping plan or coordinate some as well).
Hi, is this the ADI hackathon? I gave a lecture on nosql to their group a few months back and was asked to come back and give another lecture on January 31st at 8 or 9, again on nosql.
Where/when is the hackathon?

Thanks for reaching out, Alex! We don't have a branch anywhere other than NYC, however we can always do a personalized search for any location. Good luck with your new biz!
Hi Alex,
Thanks for the message. I am still just getting settled in NY but I would have to give a talk... perhaps early spring when I have new exciting things to present? Let's be in touch... -Adam
Man Alex, I gotta say, not many people are as timely and as caring in their response as you are. Not to mention you're probably twice as busy. That shows a TON of character! I have thought about the accelerator programs as well as the grants as possibilities..
. and if you have suggestions for the ones I should seek out, please let me know. Also, I have been looking for an event to present my concept... any suggestions on where?
Hi Alex,
Thanks so much. Let us know when you're available for a chat over the next week. You can check out our site here (www.nextgenhea

Thanks for the welcome to 2.0. And yes, I am a recovering "archie". I have found architecture to be a great education for solving all sorts of non-architectur
al problems, however.
