  • Esther, bienvenue au QSParis. C'est un très grand plaisir de te voir ici. J'espère que tu pourras venir lors d'une prochaine édition.

  • Hi Esther, I'm an organizer too, and Scott hasn't contacted me. It's been 3 weeks and this experiment has gone on way too long. Read the Meetup Organizers Forum to see how New Meetup has made organizers' lives more difficult and made us feel betrayed. We provide 85% of Meetup's revenue, and we did NOT ask for these drastic changes & removals of useful features (Ideas, event photos, Maybe RSVP, ...). Reverting to the (non-buggy) pre-Jan. 27 version would benefit Meetup Inc. and organizers alike.

  • Hello Esther. I'm a Medical Device Engineer, very interested in Quantified Self technology. I'm also the organizer of several meetup groups, including one taking advantage of the newmeetup platform to help connect the 2% of highly successful organizers within the meetup organizer ranks.

  • Hi, I see you are on the Meetup Board of Directors. Over the past 3 days, lots of loyal organizers have tried to reach Meetup management without success. (Organizers' fees constitute 85% of the company's revenues.) The Meetup Organizers' Forum has been deluged with furious posts. Here is a sample thread: http://www.meetup.com/boards/thread/1... Scott Heiferman has gone AWOL at a crucial time and needs to communicate with his customers and, I hope, undo this massively unpopular change.

  • Yes, I stayed till the very end today. The second part was indeed more constructive and resulted to some progress ideas. For the next meetup: allocate NGO needs and (tech) solutions available (including e-learning tools). Basically, the same topic: NGOs and social networking tools.

  • Hi Esther,
Thanks for making it to the Meet-up. I would have liked to get a chance to chat with you but ran out of time. I just wanted to say I have enjoyed reading your work for years and am glad to have almost met you! Perhaps next time. If you want to keep an eye on our launch or comment on the concept, please visit www.FairCareMD.com.
    Good luck!

(p.s. I assume the profile pic was from your space training, not an actual launch or roller coaster, no?)
